When in Rome... The beignets are very good. We had our first ones about a week ago & would definitely go back for more, especially if they decide to expand into North Idaho. The chicory coffee was great, I liked it better than Starbucks drip coffee. A must, especially for first time New Orleans visitors. Don't feel you HAVE to try the French Quarter location, they have locations within a reasonable drive of the airport.
A trip to New Orleans is not complete without an order of just made beignets. We had an enjoyable Labor Day visit to this busy Lakeside Mall Cafe du Monde location The beignets we great and the line moved quickly. We’ll be back!
Great place. Great beignets. Not a fan of the coffee though, but that's not what I came here for. I would love to see them make the beignets!

This is a typical Cafe Du Monde except in a shopping mall. The service was fast and generally friendly, the beignets were fresh and covered with powdered sugar, and the cafe au lait was scalding hot as usual. I mean it about the scalding hot and I say that as a good thing. Coffee is always hot and I wasn't disappointed.
We weren't able to make down to New Orleans due to the rain however this is a superb alternative! In an air conditioned mall with plenty of great sores, i.e.: Disney store, Apple store, ect.... Back to the beignets. Delicious, hot sweet goodness and cafe au lait served with a smile. Happy eating. :)
